Bono “In Final Stages Of Writing Memoirs”

According to an article written by Eithne Shortall in UK paper The Times, Bono must be close to finishing his autobiography, which will be published internationally by Penguin Random House. Paul McGuinness helped negotiate the book deal, which was originally sent to several international publishers. The memoirs were supposed to be released in mid-2019, but at the time McGuinness said Bono was still working on them, writing everything himself without assistance from a ghost writer. It appears McGuinness won’t be joining Bono on a writing mission of his own, saying he has no interest in writing his own memoirs because much of what would be interesting for people to know was actually private: “The relationship between five men working together for nearly 40 years was very intimate and private.”

Bono Congratulates Dr. Fauci On Becoming The 2020 Federal Employee Of The Year

On October 5, Dr. Anthony Fauci was named 2020 Federal Employee of the Year, the top honor of the Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals. These awards are presented each year by the non-profit organization Partnership for Public Service to recognize innovation and leadership in the U.S. federal government.

Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 1984, Dr. Fauci is the world’s leading expert on infectious diseases. Over the past 50 years, he has been an advisor to six presidential administrations, and this year he was at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19.

Many celebrities congratulated the winner during the awards ceremony; among them was Bono, who contributed a short video message: “Dr. Fauci’s work has literally saved millions of lives. Tony, we love you, we honor you, we thank God for you. Tonight, we give you our deepest thanks.”
