Larry Mullen, Jr. Donates $100,000 To The Navajo And Hopi Solidarity Fund

Larry donated $100,000 to the Navajo and Hopi Solidarity Fund to assist indigenous people affected by COVID-19. According to the fund’s organizers, Larry’s donation will help supply a week’s worth of food and water to 1,000 Native American households, encouraging them to stay home and “flatten the curve” of the virus. Many Irish people donated to the fund, a gesture of solidarity honoring the Choctaw Nation’s donation of money to the Irish during the Great Famine in 1847. U2 Shares A Powerful Song By Keedron Bryant And Will.I.Am On Instagram

In the wake of George Floyd’s tragic death at the hands of police officers in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and impassioned protests throughout the United States and the world, U2 shared a music video on Instagram. The song, “I Just Want To Live,” is a collaboration between Keedron Bryant and will.i.am. U2’s Instagram account relayed this message: “Across the ocean our hearts are broken and our eyes…which we thought were open…are just now beginning to see the depth and breadth of systematic racism in our beloved America. Thank you @keedronbryant and @iamwill. We stand with you. ‘I’m not sleeping, no, no, no…’” Watch the video of the song here.
