Bono And Pavarotti’s Duet of ‘Ave Maria’ Now Commercially Available

 Pavarotti Film Album

Bono’s duet with Luciano Pavarotti of “Ave Maria” is now available for the first time commercially. It’s part of a new release by Decca Records, Pavarotti: Music From The Motion Picture, the original soundtrack from the Ron Howard-directed documentary Pavarotti, which is set to open in theaters June 7.

Originally recorded live in 2003 at the “Pavarotti & Friends for SOS Iraq” benefit concert in Modena, Italy, the song is available for streaming and as an instant download with digital pre-order of the soundtrack, which will be released June 7, according to a news release. The previously released live recording of “Miss Sarajevo,” performed by Bono, The Edge, Brian Eno and Pavarotti, is on the film’s soundtrack as well.

Decca/UMe will also release a new 3-CD “best of” collection titled Pavarotti: The Greatest Hits, available for pre-order now, and it includes the studio recording of “Miss Sarajevo.”
