In what is becoming a tradition in recent years, U2 have announced the release of The Europa EP to support Record Store Day 2019 on April 13. This will be U2’s ninth release for Record Store Day since 2010.

The three track Europa EP will be available exclusively at hundreds of independent record stores on the day. For more details of those stores, the Record Store Day site lists the various stores worldwide that are participating.

The cover art is a tribute to Charlie Chaplin — who prominently featured each night at the start of each concert on the European leg of the Experience + Innocence tour — and 1993’s Zooropa album. Side A of the EP features Chaplin’s speech from the movie The Great Dictator, mixed with “Love Is All We Have Left” from 2017’s Songs Of Experience and 1993‘s “Zooropa” from the album of that name, and segues into “New Year’s Day” that was recorded live in Dublin on November 5th 2018.

The flip side contains two unique remixes, leading with St.Francis Hotel’s version of “New Year’s Day,” with the other mix being Jon Please Wimmin’s of “Love Is All We Have Left.”

The sleeve will be embossed containing a four-page color insert and A5 sticker sheet, with the EP pressed on 180g heavyweight black vinyl. It is unknown if a download code is being made available.
