Bono & Friends Busk Again on Christmas Eve in Dublin

For the fourth straight Christmas Eve, Bono and friends packed Grafton Street in Dublin during a busking session for charity. This year’s sing-a-long just ended within the last hour or so, which means details are still pretty sketchy. We know that Bono joined the likes of Glen Hansard, Damien Rice, Sinead O’Connor, Paddy Casey, Liam O’Maonlai, Lisa Hannigan and others for at least a couple songs — “Desire” and “Silent Night.” There are also reports that the group sang “Christmas (Please Come Home),” but we haven’t found any video or confirmation of that yet.

UPDATE: Thanks to Steve Vaughan (who was there and shot three of the videos below), we now know that Bono was on hand for four songs in this order:

1. “Christmas (Please Come Home)”
2. “I Believe In Father Christmas”
3. “Silent Night”
4. “Desire” – “Not Fade Away”

UPDATE #2: @U2 reader Harry K. tells us that they added some of “I Believe In Father Christmas” to the first song of the night (and there’s video below), and we found another video of “Desire” that includes a bit of Buddy Holly’s “Not Fade Away” at the end.

UPDATE #3: We’ve added a full video of Bono’s entire appearance. It’s the first one below.
