Eno Imagines Reviews From Bono and Edge

It’s one small craft for Eno, but one giant Sea for mankind” – Bono

“We may as well give up … this says it all” – The Edge

These are the reviews Brian Eno imagined his pals writing for his new (real) album, Small Craft On A Milk Sea, which Eno had a bit of fun with by using them in an imagined advertisement for his real album in his imagined newspaper.

Confused yet?

It all happened when Eno delivered the keynote address at Rolex’s 2010 Young Laureates Awards ceremony in Lausanne, Switzerland, Thursday, November 11. While talking about the serious topic of altruism and imagining a better future, he presented a mock-up of a newspaper which he called The Good World News, which he imagined as reporting positive news that created hope in its readers.

A screen shot of the advert is pretty hard to read, but you can watch his brief remarks and catch his humor starting at the 3:00 minute mark of this video from the presentation.

Incidentally, check out the album art for Small Craft. Bear a resemblance to any other recent album?
